<< May you have Peace in your Heart >>

Each month without failure the Moon graces us with her iridescent glow and then disappears as though a mystery untold. Its such a beautiful representation of cycles, cycles of which we can connect to, to the earth, each other and most importantly ourselves.
Together we can honor ourselves to both shed unnecessary burdens, weight and emotions that no longer serve us and nurture, energize and empower our souls ~ All during the New Moon & Full Moon Cycles.
Let us reflect upon what we feel in the moment, what we have been through in the past month, explore these emotions and renew them for the new lunar cycle.
The moon has a gravitational pull on the earth and in turn effects our energies as it does the ocean. Our bodies are more than half made primarily of water, water is directly affected by the moons energy. As we all know the earth spins on an axis, the moon circles around the sun and both the earth and the moon circle the sun, all of which lead the moon to move in phases.
During the new moon you cannot see the moon in the sky, but a void of darkness. This is when the earth is in between the moon and the sun, creating a blank slate. A blank slate for light to slowly leak out from behind the earth and expose the bright reflection of the moon once again until it finally reaches its full moon ring. This is the start of a new lunar cycle.
The wonderful continuous cycle of this reflection of light on the moons surface is a beautiful reminder that we are all connected as one. We all see the same moon, the same light and experience the same waves of energy that the moons offers us.
The full moon happens much like the new moon, in cycles, once a month we are graced with the fully illuminated glowing ball in the sky. The sun, earth, and moon are lined up, with the earth in the middle allowing for the suns rays to reflect off of the surface of the moon.
Full moons are a wonderfully mystical time for us to fully connect with our spiritual selves. While new moons are associated with new beginnings, full moons represent the culmination of energy: fruition, completion and celebration, as well as releasing and shedding of the old to pave way for a whole new cycle.
Here are some great examples of ways to create a ritual for yourself, by all means try one, try a few, do them all or only a couple. There is no right or wrong way to create space for yourself to do these activities, so long as it brings you joy and allows you to fully renew yourself.
Open your monthly rituals with a calming ring of a singing bowl, or by simply playing your favorite music. I love a good calming, uplifting, positive collection of songs during this time.
Use the traditional smudges to center yourself, cleanse your space, using the herbs as a tool to help you open your heart to positivity and gratitude.
Include things that connect you to nature...or things that make you feel at peace. You can use objects that remind you of the 4 elements:
Set aside a few minutes each month to focus on your wishes & intentions. This will help give you clarity of mind and fill your heart with promise. Be Specific with yourself and perhaps outside under the night sky read your list aloud or by candlelight indoors.
Give thanks to the Universe & release the energy by burning your intentions in a sacred fire trusting in it coming into your life. If you choose to journal your thoughts and intentions that of course is a wonderful way to express yourself. Remembering there is no right or wrong way to act on your rituals, just do what feels right.
Intention is the starting point of every dream. It is the creative power that fulfills all of our needs, whether for money, relationships, spiritual awakening, or love.
~ Deepak Chopra
Wash away your sorrows and cleanse your spirit with a bath soak with beautiful sensory items such as salts, flower petals, essential oils, aromas, candles. Cleanse any old feelings that may be weighing you down and wash away fears that are holding you back and clouding your mind from living fully. If you don't have access to a bath, perhaps a river, lake, ocean or quarry cleanse...Any water will suffice the purpose of washing away your negativity and dead weight.
With each new cycle comes wonderful opportunities to give thanks for what has passed. It's a time to give thanks to all guides that led you to this place, the here, the now. Give thanks for your health, your family, your wealth, food, the list could go on.
What are you grateful for at this moment?
Gratitude is a powerful energy and expresses to the Divine that you are present in your life experience and ready and open to receive more.
With each New & Full Moon it is always wonderful to carry affirmations with you into the month ahead. Affirmations are potent phrases of intent that can help anchor your rituals. You can write them down and keep them on a vision board or incorporated into your alter so you are able to repeat them and use them as a daily reminder, strengthening their intent.
“I embrace the new beginnings opening to me”
“I am open to all that is unfolding in my life and all that is yet to come”
“I let go of what is no longer serving me and open to what is”
“I am attracting all the love I dream and deserve”
“I am wholly rooted in my truth”
It is important to become grounded in your thoughts, to be aware of clearing your mind, calming your body and being present in the now. Visualize the roots of your body, your feel on the ground deep into the earth, feel the exchange of energy coming from the core of the earth into your body aligning your chakras. Take some deep cleansing breaths, enjoy yourself a cup of tea, and just be Here, Now. Embracing mindfulness during your ritual is key!
When the light of the full moon is vibrant and lighting the night sky we are often able to see what is hidden within the shadows. It’s a powerful opportunity for you to face your shadow, your fears or dislikes and heal, release and let go. Similar to writing your intentions, write down what you wish do release ~ perspectives, habits, emotional patterns, or limiting beliefs...Burn the paper and let it go. Release the pain that is blocking your true potential and speak aloud: “I now release this into the light.”
The Full Moon is a wonderful time to release and let go of the perspectives, limiting beliefs and patterns that are blocking you off from experiencing the love you truly desire in your life.
Once you’ve done this, then focus in on what greater love in your life would look like. Allow yourself to write, feel, seen, envision and experience what your life could be like if love manifest in an amplified way, and know that when you do this amidst the Full Moon energy you’re powerfully amplifying these things and supporting the manifestation of greater love in your life.
Connecting with the moon phases is a wonderful time to get clarity from the Spirit. Give yourself a reading and give this moon phase spread a go to see what answers you can receive. Pendulums gemstones can come in handy here for grounding your answers and reading.
Card 1: What blessing is this Moon energy amplifying in my life?
Card 2: What do I need to release to manifest my Highest Truth?
Card 3: What do I need to embrace to embody my Highest Truth?
Card 4: What clarity is the Spirit trying to convey to me?
During the light of the full moon it’s a powerful time to cleanse/charge your crystals & spritiutal tools. The task is simple, and if you have an altar set in place outside then you are already allowing them to absorb the energy of the moon. Simply lay your items under the moonlight and let the moon work its magic. Some crystals are not water resistant so be sure to know which crystals can be left out overnight (especially if it calls for rain). You can also place your crystals on windowsills.
Moonlight Water, or Full Moon Water is essentially just water that you set outside under the light of the Full Moon to “charge”. Using spring water is always best so as to avoid any chemicals, chlorine or impurities. Fill a glass bowl or container and set it out under the moonlight, either outside or on a windowsill. The energy from the light of the moon will be absorbed into the water overnight and be ready for you first thing in the morning as a powerful glass of hydration.
As simple as it sounds, lay out under the light of the moon, gaze to the glow and let the light shine down upon you, cleansing, blessing your energy and manifesting more blessings towards you. Hold out your palms and let the life force energy radiate through your body recharging and healing you.
Movement & rhythm should never be limited to any one particular time, so if you feel the urge to dance whether there is moonlight or not, dance. Simply turn on some music, or tune into your inner rhythm in silence… And dance. Allow your body to move intuitively and freely. Feel your emotions flowing through your body, feel the transformational energy moon circulating through your being.
All in all no matter the Moon whether it Full or New, it is a beautiful time for you to engage with yourself. Tune into your inner being and embrace your truth. Release fears, express gratitude ~ All of these rituals are ways for you to become more grounded in the present moment and open opportunity for you to love on yourself.
Wishing you all a beautiful upcoming New Moon.
My intentions for this New Moon are:
“I am grateful for this moment”
“I am grateful that change is on the horizon”
“I am grateful for the unknown of what's to come”
“I am grateful for the breath”
“I am grateful that each day is a blessing and worth being happy about”
“I am grateful”
