Top 4 Superfood Summer Smoothies

Morning Mocha Mama

1 Frozen Banana
1 Ripe Banana
1tbsp Cacao Powder
2 Mejdoul Dates (presoaked)
1/2 tbsp Ground Coffee Beans
3 Coffee Ice Cubes
1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
1 1/2 - 2 cups Vanilla Almond Milk or any Plant Based Milk

Garnish with Hemp seeds & Mint Leaf

Optional:
1 Tbsp Cacao Nibs
1 tbsp Hemp Protein Powder
Add desired amount of Mint Leaves for a Minty Mocha

This smoothie truly is that rich decadent morning chocolate beverage.  It gives you all the flavors of Raw Cacao and that super boost of Coffee.

Special Notes on How to Make It:

This one is as simple as blend all the ingredients together, just be sure you pre-soak your dates if they're a little dry and let them soften.  When adding in your ground coffee beans, the finer the better.  And as for the coffee cubes...freeze any left over from your morning brew into an ice cube tray saving them for this Mocha Morning Blend :)

Matcha Kind of Mood

1 Frozen Banana

1 Cup Frozen Mango
1 Generous Handful Tuscan Kale
1 cup Apple Juice
1 Cup Water
1/8 Teaspoon Ginger Powder
1 Teaspoon Flax Seeds
1 tsp Matcha Powder
1 tsp Honey
3 Ice Cubes

Garnish with Flax Seeds & Apple Slice

Optional:
Hemp Protein Powder
Coconut flakes
Mint Leaves

This delicious Green filled smoothie will get you started on the right foot.  Its a vibrant blend of sweet & superfood.  Matcha is a Green Tea extract made into a powder form that has higher concentrates of antioxidants than what you would normally find in a cup of Green Tea.

Special Notes on How to Make It:

If you can make fresh apple juice (I promise you it will be better), but don't sweat it if you cant.  This one is pretty simple too, other than be sure to put the kale in your blender before your other ingredients.  The weight of the frozen fruit helps to get that kale blended up so its nice and smooth....Other than that.  Enjoy!


Golden Piña Colada

1 Frozen Banana
1 Ripe Banana
1 cup Frozen Pineapple
1/8 tsp Tumeric Powder
1/8 tsp Ginger Powder
1 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Cup Water
1 Cup Coconut Milk (canned if not fresh)
3 Ice Cubes

Garnish Fresh Pineapple Slice, Coconut Flakes

Optional:
Mango
Cayenne

 

A sweet healthy Immune system boosting kind of Piña Colada.  With a blend of golden super foods giving this smoothie its colour its the perfect pick me up to keep your well being in check.

Special Notes on How to Make It:

Blend everything until smooth as a silky baby bottom.  The coconut oil will definitely help add a richness that is velvet like in texture.  Good fats are good for you.  Good for the soul and great for your body.  Indulge and enjoy a health Piña Colada first thing in the morning :)


Very Berry

1 Cup Mixed berries (Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, Blueberries)
1 Frozen Bananas
1 Ripe Banana
1/8 tsp Cinnamon
1 tbsp Peanut butter
1 tbsp Salt Roasted Peanuts
2 cups Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Mejdoul Date (presoaked)
3 Ice Cubes

Garnish with Strawberry

Optional:

Acai Powder
Hemp Seeds

Let me just preface this with...This smoothie is so delicious as a bowl ~ Add some granola and a blob of Peanut Butter...YUM. 

Special Notes on How to Make It:

This one you can throw everything into and blend away!  If you want more chunks in your smoothie with the peanuts then plop them in there towards the end of your blend so that they are broken up into pieces rather than blended smooth.

Carrot Cake

1/3 cup Rolled Oats
2 Frozen Bananas
1 tbsp Chia Seeds (presoaked)
1/8 tsp All Spice
1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
1 cup Carrot Juice/shredded carrot
1 cup Almond Milk
1 tbsp Honey
1 Mejdoul Date (presoaked)

Garnish: Cinnamon Stick


Optional:
Dried Fig
Raisins

Special Notes on How to Make It:

Soak your Chia Seeds in 2 tbsp of water allowing them to take on the gelatinous consistency.  Be sure to throw your oats into the bender pulsing them until they take on a more powder like form (it doesn't have to be super fine).  Once your oats are set you can start adding in all your ingredients.  Oh!  Remember to presoak your date if its dry too :)
